Objectives:
After this class, students will be able to:
1. meet deadlines.
2. understand the overarching goals and procedures of the class.
3. listen to differing opinions on the topic of education.

Agenda:
1. Students will complete a "Getting to Know YOU!" Survey - worth 5 points. A copy of this survey is available upon request at ms.kingsbury@verizon.net

2. Students will receive credit for completing last night's homework assignment entitled "What should English class be?" Students will circulate around the room and find one person with a similar opinion as their own and one person with a differing opinion. We will have a sharing period where students will be able to read their writing to the class to earn extra points.

3. Students will review our class syllabus. Please scroll down two entries for the entire text of the syllabi for both AP English Lit and AP English Lang. The floor will be open for questions about the coursework and expectations for this year.

Homework:
1. Students should have their parent/guardian sign their syllabus. 5 points towards class participation grade. Due by Friday 9/11.

2. Students are required to have an email account. Gmail is preferable, but any email service will suffice. Please send an email to both Ms. Kingsbury (ms.kingsbury@verizon.net) and Ms. Deep (missd.ohs@gmailcom) letting us know your email address. 50 points toward class participation grade. Due by Friday 9/11.
