I think that the author is right about when he statement "American children are in to ipods, XBOX360, etc".. American children dont have to worry about goat bladders because today technology is more moderate than Pakistan. I think that this article was a waste of time.
I think that he is telling the truth, he makes since. Peolple today are more into electronical devices and gadgets that they think thats making them learn more but its really not. If we had to pay for our education I think that we will value these things more. Us Americans rather listen to ipods and play xbox 360;s than learn and worry what a goat bladders. We dont have to worry about goat bladders we dont live in pakistan.
I completely agree with the article. It is true that what is in abundance isn't valued as something more rare. I've always believed people who had a rough time trying to get an education would have more motivation to succeed than those who are given these chances by birthright. But regardless, American children would still be the same even if made to pay for their education. Perfect example is college and universities that make these people pay but some just fail to meet the standards. It is more of a household issue. Parents are a factor as well.
I believe the fact that american children are more into ipods, x box's and others that they don't worry about education.... But truly thats the way americans are. We work hard so that kids we have are allowed that exceptions. Plus most of us do care about our education. Its up to u. Like there's people here who drops out im pretty sure that there is people in pakistan that drop out because they don't care about there education
i highly agree with this article because i feel that it is true that many American children do not appreciate the value of education because it is given freely. i truly believe that if education was something that was hard to obtain or expensive in cost. That many American children would value it a whole lot more, instead of i pods and XBOX.
