Objectives:
After this class, students will be able to:
1. reflect on past experiences.
2. understand the requirements of their senior project PowerPoint Presentation (PPP).
3. begin a rough draft of their presentation.
Agenda:
1. Warm-Up: Students will answer the following questions in the their notebooks: Do you think that oyu can be prepared to do your senior project PPP by the end of March? If so, why? If not, why not?
2. Reminders:
a. Last week's weekly paper is due (When I was a child...)
b. This week's weekly paper topic - If I had one wish...
c. SENIOR PROJECTS ARE DUE PRONTO!
d. Practice PPP from last week are due.
3. Freewrite - Students should answer the following question in their notebooks: What have you been up to since I've been out? 3-4 sentences
4. Senior Project PPP Notes - students should write these all into their notebooks:
a. Your PPP is based strictly on your research paper.
b. You need a minimum of 16 slides. The first slide should be a title slide with your name, project title, and date (Spring 2009). The last slide will be your conclusion. Each research question should have 1-3 slides depending on the length of the answer.
c. Each slide should have a question on top, 4-5 bullet points, and one picture. Only the most important points from your research paper go into your PPP.
d. You will need to talk for 10 minutes.
e. PPP is worth 400 points toward your fourth marking period grade.
5. Today we will do a rough draft of your PPP in your notebook.
